The lawn at the birthplace of John Adams was covered in snow this afternoon. The snow makes you think of how his house would have looked during the 17 hundreds.
I don't like days without electricity. But thank goodness for the gas fireplace to keep us warm and a gas stove for cooking. The house was so quiet. We did get it back after 13 hours.
It looks like the weathermen were right about our snow storm today. It isn't going to stop snowing until tomorrow night unless it turns to rain on the South Shore. If it stays as snow we could get 8-12 inches. I am so glad to be watching it from a warm home with plenty of wine and food.
What a lovely Christmas I had. Isn't Pugsley santa suit great that Jen made. Last night had a delicious dinner at Jen's and Bill's the best way to celebrate Christmas eve. Dan and my mother stayed over night at our house afterwards which was nice. This morning we all got together early to open presents at our house. Had a nice dinner of roast beef and plenty of desserts. It was a full day.
My bench in the side yard is starting to be covered by the ivy coming over the fence. It does look pretty with the snow on it. I will have to trim some of the ivy back in the Spring.
I had a 8:45 am doctors appt. this morning and found the yard covered in snow. George was so good to me, he had cleaned off the car and turned on the heat. All I had to do was drive away.
Had a fun day at Archer West Gallery. Hopefully we will see more customers tomorrow. Sunday's seem like the perfect day to visit art galleries and go to museums.
It was a beautiful cold sunny day today. George took me around town looking for today's photo. We went over to Marina Bay in Squantum. Most of the boats are gone until next Spring but the skyline of Boston was perfectly clear.
I can't think about going out in the cold again today( it isn't good for the camera). So I am remembering the beautiful Island of Corfu Greece. If Jet Blue flew there I would go this afternoon.
I stayed close to home today. After the fun Hull Artists holiday party last night and our great weekend I enjoyed a relaxing day at home. Even got to read a book.
Saturday was the day for their Christmas parade. I finally got my New Orleans beads. I got so many beads I had to take some of them off they got to heavy. Everyone enjoyed the parade.
Make sure you get a Total Reward's card when you go to Vegas. We called Harrah's New Orleans about a room rate and they comped us 3 nights at the W and we could use our Vegas points for two steak house dinners for George and I at two great restaurants and the breakfast buffet for all five of us.
We just got home from a wonderful trip to New Orleans with the kids. The weather was perfect 78 yesterday. Arriving to Boston's 32 was a killer. We stayed at the W hotel right next door to Harrah's Casino and across the street from Fulton Street that is decorated for Christmas. They even shoot snow flakes in the air to give the feeling of Christmas.
It's not easy being a photographer some days. I have an order for a photo, waited for sunshine and a few clouds. I got to the sight and never thought about high tide taking the beach away. Always tomorrow.
I was down to Hull this morning to deliver a photo I sold over the weekend. When I headed down Beach Ave. I had to take a photo. It was cold and windy on the beach today, but the light of the sun was beautiful.
I went to the South Shore Plaza this afternoon to pick up a few things. Would you believe I told the chanel lady the make-up was to expensive and I didn't buy it. I must be ill. Thank goodness I know a Mary Kay rep that I will be calling soon. A bottle of chanel moisturizer was $175 dollars. I will be deteriorating fast. Maybe I should have asked Santa for it.
We had a meeting at Frank's house last month and the view from his family room was lovely. So I drove down to Crow's Point to see if I could find a place to photograph it. I did.
What a great day we had today. The Hull Artists Studio Connection was part of the Hull Chamber of Commerce Holiday Showcase. We were given the Hull High School Library to show our artwork in. The library worked perfectly. We hired the Skyland Jazz Band to set the mood of an art gallery. Everyone that entered the Library loved the music and art.
I had a busy day today getting ready for the Holiday Showcase . At 4pm today we could set-up for tomorrow. By the time I arrived in Hull the sun was setting quickly. I got this photo minutes after sunset.
It was a year ago that George and I did the River Boat cruise from Prague to Budapest. Time sure flew. It was a wonderful cruise meeting great people and saw a beautiful part of the world.
Having fun with photography. Recently retired and finally have the time to enjoy playing with my photography whenever I want to. Member of the South Shore Camera Club. President of the Hull Artists Studio Connection.
