Sunset Point Evening - Day 102

George took me out to supper at the Sea Dog Pub tonight. It was a beautiful view but to early in the evening for any great photos. Drove to my mother's to say hello and she wasn't home. A neighbor told me she just went out with friends. My mother has a very busy social life. This photo is one of her neighbors yard across the street.

George's Chair - Day 101

A very strange weather day today. Weatherman said we will have a thunder storm anytime now, so I went looking for today's photo right out the backdoor again. This is George's chair in the corner of deck. He has spent a lot of time here enjoying the sun rays.

Hancock Cemetery - Day 100

On my way back from mailing some mail at the post office I saw that the Hancock Cemetery was shady. So I decided to walk through and look for a photo. I found a squirrel that wasn't afraid of anyone and the fence on Hancock street. I have always liked the urns on the top. What is amazing is that they are all still standing after many years side by side in a row. A strong wrought iron.

Today's photo of the day makes the 100th.

Over to Scituate to wish Trish a Happy Birthday and ended at the Science Center in Norwell to see which photo was accepted in their judged art show. How did I ever work. On the 30th I will have been retired for one year.

Flag Day Ceremony at the Carousel -Day 87

At 5pm today I attended the Field of Flags Flag Day Ceremony. It was a very nice program. A group of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts spoke about how flag day started and how to care for the American Flag with respect.
The names of people being honored with a flag on the lawn were read and the ceremony ended with the playing of taps. I'm sure my father would have liked it.

Adams Park - Day 74

I was driving up Hayward Street in Braintree today looking for today's photo. Many of you viewing my blog have moved away from Braintree, so I thought that Adams Street Park may bring back memories. Growing up I lived close to this park and met up with friends there after supper every night. Good memories. Learned how to play poker there. I found out today it's proper name is Winfield Adams Park. I'll have to find out who he was. It was Adams Street Park to us

Memorial Day - Day 73

Today is a day to remember the men and women who gave their lives to keep the United States free. It is also a day to remember the veterans that came home, worked, raised a family and lived a life as a proud American. Many are not with us any longer due to age like my Dad.
