Happy Halloween - Day 225

On my way back from Hanover I stopped at Susan's exhibit at the Hingham Library. It is a wonderful presentation of her work. Then decided that being in Hingham I should check out the Talbot's Outlet Store in Hingham Shipyard. On my way to Talbot's I had to stop at this yard.

New Tree Coming - Day 224

I have been thinking about getting a tree for my front lawn but didn't know what I wanted. While I was driving down Bridge Street I saw this unusual tree and had to get a closer look. Quincy Adams Nursery will be planting it for me next week. I hope it will look right in the yard. It's a Serpentine Cherry tree. I was thinking it may curve into a S for Santry wouldn't that be cool.

Raining But It Brought Out the Color- Day 222

Another busy day. Brought a gift photo to the family I met photographing the Head of the Weir Race from their beach ( I can't tell you where it is, I like life to much). I took this photo from a new spot I found. There was a no trespassing sign but after my last spot I thought who would see me. Well a truck pulled up and I asked if I could take a photo. He did say sure but don't fall I don't have insurance. He watched me and didn't leave until I did. I feel like a true photographer now. Really proud of myself even trying to take a photo at a no trespassing area. Ha!

Concourse Update - Day 202

They have made a lot of progress on the cross city connector roadway when I drove by today. The demolition crew had to stop taking the Quincy Movie Theater down when they found asbestos in the buildings. The asbestos is gone and looks like the road will be finished in a couple months. The cars in the middle right of this photo are on Hancock Street. This connector road has been planned for the city for over 20 years.
In the second photo the building in the middle by the Granite Trust Building (Bank America now) is coming down in a couple weeks. All part of the Quincy Revitalization Plan.
