Building Is Gone - Day 336
When I was driving up Granite Street towards Quincy Square to my surprise the building on the corner of Chestnut Street and Maple Street had been demolished. Hairplace 1 use to have their salon in front, with a typewriter repair shop behind and a coin dealer next to them. Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance owns the land and has plans to landscape the area to leave as open space. It's headquarters is behind the space. The third photo is what the building looked like a couple months ago.

Sandwich Glass Museum - Day 331
I had a wonderful day. The museum was fun to see again but the people I spent the afternoon with made it special. It is so much fun laughing and photographing with people that are enjoying life and looking at the beauty around us. One of the best things I have done is joining South Shore Camera Club.

Memories - Day 327
One place that everyone remembers from Paragon Park at Nantasket Beach is the Carousel. Thanks to a group of caring people (volunteers) the Carousel was saved and moved to a spot up the street for later generations to enjoy. It has been a large undertaking and very costly. The Carousel did get a grant last year to replace the doors to the entrance of the Carousel to what they would have looked like when the Carousel was built in 1928. To keep it maintained and repair what age has done to the horses it takes a lot of money. Also they still hold a large loan for purchasing it. If you would like to help, you can become a Friend of Paragon Carousel so your grandchildren can enjoy the Carousel as much as we have. (No one has asked me to say this, I just care.)
